…was Annika in the middle of August. It was a present for her 5th grade graduation…I CANNOT believe she started middle school!
JJ loved being with her and doing everything he could with her. We had to tell him to give her space:)

(p.s. he did get to go to Sea World for his birthday! I was in PA, but brought back some great gifts from MiMi and PopPop and we just celebrated his birthday again with an ice cream cake while Jared’s brother and family were in town…but I still don’t feel right about his birthday:( Somebody say something encouraging to me after you read this, please?)

Sara! Abby, let go of the guilt! It happens. He is little and really, the fun moments he had (that you described) will be what he remembers! Enjoy the precious time you spend with him! Love you!

Hmm...the truth is, I think big parties at this age are more for us than for them anyway. The pictures and the memories are fun...but when it comes down to it, aren't most kids happy with a cupcake and a new toy?? Sounds like JJ had lots of birthday celebrations...multiple cakes, presents, trips, family and fun!!!! You are a super mom (any mom who can do international flights with a toddler and an infant automatically wins that award!) Think back to your third birthday party... can you remember? I have no recollection!!!! :) Come to think of it I really can't remember any birthdays... a few muddled images...maybe this is more about me getting old and losing my memory...oh no!!!!!!!
