First Week Favorites: Staff Hunt

Staff Hunt happens every week at Speakout.  The Hungarian and American staff all dress up somehow and go either to by the Lake or on the Shopping (Walking) Street.  Then the campers are sent out in groups and they look all over the town for the Speakout Staff.  It’s fun to see how creative some will be.

As you can see, we represented the Philadelphia Eagles as a family.  As I was packing to come here, I threw in JJ’s DeSean Jackson jersey and Jared’s Jeremy Maclin t-shirt and Susie had a little Eagle’s shirt too!  We Went to the Strand and got some fagyi (ice cream) and had lots of fun!

Here we are with Campus Crusade Staff from Slovakia.  They came to Speakout for 2 weeks as a Vision Trip and for training in the hopes that they will be able to start a similar English Camp next year in Slovakia.  They left on Saturday and we miss them:(

(Notes: I am a cheerleader, but had nothing Eagles to help match or pom poms…it was a last minute idea and my ice cream is my accessory, so is JJ’s, but Jared is hiding his behind his back! Isn’t that funny??!! )

Here are Palmi and Allmos—he was very good at juggling.

Here are Jen and Ingrid—we hung out while Jared and JJ played football.  We love them:)  Ingrid is a teacher and she also lost her mother to cancer, so we had an instant connection that way.  She is hilarious and makes us laugh so much!

Here are Megan and Hannah when some campers found them.  They were gangsters…

I think JJ was just “tackled”…he had a blast playing football with Daddy and getting tackled and tackling…unfortunately he’s having a hard time not always being a little football player who tackles others…that is our main discipline issue here—him hitting others.
