We went on our first field trip to our local Publix Supermarket. We love this supermarket and they gave us a wonderful tour and had 2 Customer Service people take us everywhere. So cool.
Susie came along…she missed her morning nap to do so, so I held her most of the time and trusty blankie helped;)
At the entrance looking at the pumpkins…
In the deli department with the opportunity to wear hair nets or chef’s hats…JJ wanted neither…but our friends did much better.
Gloves of Popcorn and Cheese from the Deli.At the bakery and showing us how to make an icing rose.
Bakery…yum. yum. Doesn’t it make you hungry? They were wondering how they could get inside;)
Getting cookies like every time we go to Publix…very yummy and helped us get through the next couple parts of the store.
Watching the pineapple be cored…a definite favorite.
We even got to take a break from our strenuous field trip and eat cupcakes!
Brandon can hardly wait…
WE LOVE CUPCAKES!!
we’re in that awkward faze with JJ where it’s hard to get a good picture head on, pose, etc. but too much adorableness to make a difference;)
Susie even got to have a little yummy icing…it really was good!
Next to the Meat Department…
These two have become quite the buddies!
“Lolly” the Lobster…
JJ was a little nervous and didn’t want to touch it…when he looks at the pictures now, he calls it the “mon-ster” or “mob-ster”:)
Brief stop at the Pharmacy…didn’t do anything there…
Then we went to the office and had fun in the chairs spinning…
Abby and Brandon were adorable talking to each other on the phone…
Scanning at the register…very fun to hear the BEEP!
Playing in the Book Bus and getting their baggies and balloons…
We get a balloon each time for the kids when we go to Publix…seriously cool! We were there today and as soon as Susie saw the balloons near the registers she was pointing and rocking in the cart asking for one:)
If you have pre-school aged kids and are looking for something to do, this is definitely a great thing to check out! All Publix grocery stores give tours, you have to call and schedule it. I don’t know how many other supermarkets do, but THEY SHOULD!
